According to rankings in recent years, the state university in Zilina takes an honorable fourth place in the list of the best universities in Slovakia. The main condition for admission to the 1st level (bachelor) is the presence of complete general secondary education or complete secondary vocational education.
Applicants who do not have an active knowledge of Slovak or Czech must successfully complete language training (with the possibility of completing it at UNIZA).
No entrance exams Applicants from gymnasiums who have achieved the following average arithmetic value of grades in their report card for the penultimate year of study (not the final year of study) are accepted:

Exams:
– A written exam on knowledge of general information, mathematics and a foreign language of your choice (English, Spanish, German, French, Russian) as part of the school curriculum.

As part of accreditation, the faculty received the right to carry out the educational process in 4 undergraduate educational programs. The main focus of the faculty's research and teaching activities is on information and communication technologies, modern telecommunication technologies, the development of power electronic systems and modern management of electrical networks. The main condition for admission to the 1st level (bachelor) is the presence of complete general secondary education or complete secondary vocational education.
Admission without entrance exams - only for students and graduates of gymnasiums and secondary industrial schools of engineering, construction or electrical engineering with an average score of up to 2.8, or for students and graduates of secondary vocational schools, combined schools and academies with an average score. up to 2.6. If the applicant does not meet the criteria, a test must be taken in a high school curriculum with an emphasis on basic knowledge of science, technology, and social studies.

Applicants who do not have an active knowledge of Slovak or Czech must successfully complete language training (optional at UNIZA).
Admission without exams is possible provided the average score for the penultimate year of study is 1.50 or lower for the Slovak equivalent.
