About the educational institution
University of St. Cyril and Methodius is one of the best universities in Slovakia at the moment, which allows foreign students to study disciplines such as pedagogy, philosophy, art, media, marketing communications, natural and exact sciences... The goal of the university is to prepare specialists who can make a contribution in the development of Slovak culture, science and education in the context of European and world cultural heritage.
At the University of St. Cyril and Methodius, free education is possible for foreign students in the Slovak language for bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs. You can enter many specialties without entrance exams.

The main mission and goal of the faculty is to train specialists in social science, pedagogy and philology. Graduates can work in scientific research, mass communications, editorial offices, various publishing houses, cultural centers, museums, archives, schools, government bodies, international companies, as well as translation and interpretation institutions. The best graduates can continue doctoral studies or work in departments as assistants.

The main requirement for admission to the 1st level (bachelor's degree) is complete general secondary education or complete secondary vocational education.
Additional conditions:
• Applicants are required to send by mail a certificate of proficiency in the Slovak language of at least level B1 **no later than 30.04.2026**.
• Summary.
• The entrance exam for the bachelor's educational program "Psychology" consists of a test of academic abilities (psychological test) and a knowledge test. The knowledge test includes the following subjects: psychology, philosophy, human biology.
• A prerequisite for studying in the following bachelor's degree programmes is proficiency in the relevant language at least at level B1:
– German language and culture in professional communication,
– English language and culture in professional communication,
- teaching English language and literature,
- teaching German language and literature,
– teaching Russian language and literature.
• For each specialty, grades in certain specialized subjects from the last years of study will be taken into account.

The Faculty of Media is the first faculty in Slovakia that offers comprehensive education in the field of media communications. The faculty cooperates with foreign universities and actively promotes trends in the media society. FSMI is a young and modern faculty that produces successful journalists, media experts, marketers, presenters, press secretaries, PR agencies, as well as famous teaching practitioners.

The main requirement for admission to the 1st level (bachelor's degree) is complete general secondary education or complete secondary vocational education.
Additional conditions:
• Specializations “Mass Media Communication” and “Marketing Communication”: the SCIO test “General Educational Prerequisites” (VŠP) is mandatory. Test results obtained between 1 December 2024 and 25 April 2026 will be accepted.
• Digital Game Theory major: the SCIO General Academic Prerequisites test is also mandatory. An online interview is also a mandatory part of the selection process.
Interviews will be held from May 25–29, 2026.
• Specialty “Digital Design”: admission is based on a rating consisting of:
– 50% — average grade in school subjects (specialized subjects + grades in the certificate),
– 50% – portfolio.
The portfolio must contain up to three original graphic works in PDF format. Acceptable examples include:
Logos, identity elements, typography, posters, banners, website/app design, animation, 3D visualizations, etc.
Specialized subjects: Slovak language and literature, English, social studies, foreign language.
• For all specialties, a certificate of knowledge of the Slovak language at a level of at least B1 is required.

Faculty
health
The Faculty of Health trains physiotherapists, radiologists and other junior medical personnel. In addition to studying, students have the opportunity to engage in scientific activities, participate in professional congresses and take part in foreign practices. The faculty also participates in various social and sporting events. Faculty students will learn to independently diagnose and treat musculoskeletal disorders, and will also help in the treatment of many other diseases. Graduates will be able to work in rehabilitation departments, outpatient centers, spas, fitness studios, and nursing agencies.

The department's educational programs are unique, not only in Slovakia but also abroad. An important feature of training at the Department of Management is the application of theoretical knowledge in practice. The goal of the department is to obtain a complete university education at all three levels of study. In this way, highly qualified graduates are trained who are able to successfully work in management positions and independently engage in business.
