Comenius University in Bratislava is a modern European university, the only Slovak higher education institution that is regularly ranked among the top best universities in the world. UC offers a wide range of specialties from medicine to the humanities and social sciences, from natural sciences, mathematics to theology.

The main mission of the Comenius University Faculty of Medicine is to graduate physicians who embrace their profession first and foremost as a vocation. Teaching of general medicine and dentistry takes place in Slovak for free and in English for a fee. The faculty provides higher education in the field of undergraduate, postgraduate studies in the form of specialization training programs, training courses and doctoral studies.

Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava provides higher education at all three levels of study, both full-time and part-time. More than forty specialized subjects are taught in English. The Faculty participates in many international cooperation programs, including the Erasmus program for student mobility in more than 50 partner universities in both the European Union and Turkey.

The main condition for admission to a bachelor's degree is the presence of complete general secondary education or complete secondary vocational education.

Admission to the specialty “Law” is without entrance exams, but if the number of entrance applications exceeds the planned number, then an entrance exam will be held in the form of a written test for logical thinking, knowledge of history, the science of society, general culture and politics as part of the school curriculum.

For the specialty “Economics and Law” an entrance exam is conducted in the form of a written test for logical thinking, knowledge of the basics of economics and economics, history, social science and a foreign language of choice as part of the school curriculum.

For the specialty “Management and Law in English,” you must submit a certificate of knowledge of the English language, minimum level B2, or pass a written test of language proficiency. If the number of applications exceeds the planned number, then not only the language level will be taken into account, but also the availability of UPE and mathematics grades.

The main condition for admission to a bachelor's degree is the presence of complete general secondary education or complete secondary vocational education.

For all specialties, an entrance exam is conducted in the form of the National Comparative Test (testing the general educational prerequisites for study).

A specialized entrance exam is being added to the majors “History of Art”, “Marketing Communication”, “Psychology” and “Journalism”.

For some specialties related to the study of languages, an exam in a specialized language is added (English, German and Spanish, depending on the specialty).

Pharmaceutical

The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Comenius University is the only pharmaceutical faculty in Slovakia. Graduates of the faculty occupy important and leadership positions in various institutions in the country and abroad. The Faculty operates two of its own pharmacies, the University Pharmacy and the Faculty of Pharmacy, which serve both for teaching and as public health facilities. The Faculty also has an active Slovak Association of Student Pharmacists, which has a wide range of activities and prepares events for future pharmacists every semester.

The main condition for admission to the 1st level (bachelor) is the presence of complete general secondary education or complete secondary vocational education.

All necessary documents for admission to the faculty must be no older than 2018.

Depending on the specialty, a certain UPE or passing an authorized exam in mathematics is required.

For the specialty “Teaching Mathematics and Physical Education” an entrance exam for physical training is held. The specialty “Teaching Computer Science and English” requires knowledge of the English language at a minimum level of B2.

Admission without exams to majors related to physics is possible subject to: annual grades for grades 8, 9, 10 in physics and mathematics not lower than 7 (specialty “Biomedical Physics” + biology).

Admission without exams to the specialty “Informatics” is possible provided that: annual grades for grades 8, 9, 10 in physics and mathematics are not lower than 10, “Bioinformatics” annual grades for grades 8, 9, 10 in physics, mathematics, biology and chemistry are not below 10.

Admission without exams to the specialty “Data Science” and “Bioinformatics Conversion Program” is possible provided: annual grades for grades 8, 9, 10 in computer science and mathematics (specialty “Bioinformatics” + in chemistry and biology) are not lower than 7.

Admission without exams to the specialties “Economic and Financial Mathematics”, “Mathematics”, “Management Mathematics” is possible provided: annual grades for grades 8, 9, 10 in mathematics are not lower than 10, for the specialty “Mathematics of Insurance” not lower than 7.

The Faculty of Management became the first faculty specializing in teaching management and began working in the field of management. The objective of the faculty is to prepare high-quality and competitive graduates who are able to work in teams or occupy leadership positions in organizations of various types based on the knowledge acquired.
